Time Frame: 1990 to Present

The focus of this project is how technology helped advance motion pictures. I have chosen the period of time of 1990 to the present in motion pictures but the entire history of film has been full with technological advances.

During this period, the power of computers and the Internet created a new revolution in motion pictures. This led to making of digital movies, digital distribution and the distribution of movies in the home. Possibly as important, the development of novice and fan-generated video content on the web has changed the nature of professional media. Not only that, the frighting trend is that computers are replacing media professionals and even actors (Dominick, 2009).
