Back In School - Dec 5th

Class starts again at Walden and I'm closer to my goal of graduating in 2012. The class I am taking is in Social Media and it looks to be interesting. We'll be learning how to use social media tools and create specific campaigns to achieve results.
While I'm not looking forward to all the paper writing, reading and short timelines, I am seeing the light of day in completing my degree. There's less than six classes left.
To help in my school work, I purchased a 27" iMac which is life changing. The screen is huge and I feel like it's a whole new computing world opening up to me. There's so much room for working and viewing…such a pleasure.
All my books are digital and I'm looking forward to reading them using my iPad. I highly recommend the Kindle app for the iPad. The savings over buying physical books has paid the $499 iPad in less than two years of school. It's unfortunate that I'll finish school before they make iPads mandatory for college.
If you're going to school, I would recommend the iPad 2. Before buying one, check with your schools portal before you buy. Walden's online portal does not support the iPad for posting or assignments. It's too bad Walden does not invest into more mobile integration but I'm sure most schools are struggling where to invest for the best possible online school learning environment.
May your roads be safe and swift!
